Elegy by D.H. Lawrence — Analysis & Translation

Original Poem

Elegy D.H.Lawrence Teh sun immense and rosy Must Have sunk and become extinct The night you closed your eyes for ever against me. Grey days, and wan, dree dawnings Since then, with fritter of flowers - Day wearies me with its ostentation and fawnings. Still, you left me the nights, The great dark glittery window, The bubble hemming this empty existence with lights. Still in the vast hollow Like a breath in a bubble spinning Brushing the stars, goes my soul that skims the bounds like aswallow! I can look through The film of the bubble night, to where you are. Through the film I can almost touch you

Translation (Uzbek)

Katta va pushti quyosh Siz ko'zlaringizni menga qarshi abadiy yumsangiz kerak O'sha kecha botib, yo'q bo'lib ketgan bo'lishi kerak. Kulrang kunlar va xira, zerikarli tonglar O'shandan beri, gullarning isrof bo'lishi bilan - Kun meni o'zining ko'rsatuvi va maqtovi bilan charchatadi. Hali ham, siz menga kechalarni qoldirdingiz, Katta qorong'i yaltiragan deraza, Bu bo'sh hayotni chiroqlar bilan o'rab turgan pufak. Hali ham keng bo'shliq ichida Pufak ichida aylanayotgan nafas kabi Yulduzlarni yengil tegib, mening ruhim chegaralarni yengil o'tib ketadi! Men pufak kechasining pardasidan qaray olaman, Siz qaerda bo'lsangiz. Pardadan deyarli sizga tegishim mumkin

Detailed Explanation

D.H. Lawrence tomonidan yozilgan "Elegy" she'ri yo'qotish va xotira mavzularini o'rganadi. She'rda muallif quyoshning botishi va sevgilisining yo'qolishi o'rtasidagi parallelni chizadi. Quyoshning botishi sevgilisining yo'qolishi bilan bir xil bo'lib, u abadiy ko'zlarini yumgan. She'rda muallif kunning yorqinligi va ko'rsatuvi bilan charchaganini, lekin kechalar va xotiralar orqali tasalli topishga harakat qilayotganini aytadi. U sevgilisining xotirasi bilan yashayotganini va kechalar orqali unga yaqinlashayotganini tasvirlaydi. She'rda muallifning ruhiy holati va sevgilisining yo'qolishi bilan bog'liq his-tuyg'ulari aks ettirilgan. Bu she'r yo'qotishning og'irligini va xotiralarning kuchini ifodalaydi.
