A tiny fan by Miya Mallard — Analysis & Translation

Original Poem

A tiny fan  By: Miya Mallard  --------- Oh, lover Won't you be my lover? Love me like no other  I can be your lover.. Supporter, I'll be your supporter. I'll be your cheerleader. I love you for who you are. You can be the star  As I'm just a cloud away. Moon, you can be my moon. Bright light comes from you And I'll be the grass  Let the wind blow as it passes by. You, you can be up there As I'm just down here. In a crowd of people  Who will hide or cheer. But for here. I can love you  As I try to disappear. In the crowd of tiny people. Though, please don't spot me all the time. I'm just like the others. I'm to hide behind their eyes. My mouth is silent. I'm odd as I can be. I see a lot of people. But please don't see me. I'm hiding for a reason. A reason that you still see. As I'm just a little poet  As you play your musical piece. Everyday it's just gets harder. As you pick me out from the crowd. I tried to get smaller. But you always pick me up.... With a smile....

Translation (English)

Oh, dear one Will you be my dear one? Love me like no one else I can be your dear one.. Supporter, I'll be your helper. I'll be your cheerleader. I love you for who you truly are. You can be the star While I'm just nearby. Moon, you can be my moon. Your light shines brightly And I'll be the grass Letting the wind pass by. You, you can be up high While I'm just down below. Among people Who will hide or cheer. But here. I can love you As I try to fade away. In the crowd of small people. Though, please don't always notice me. I'm just like the others. I hide behind their eyes. My mouth is quiet. I'm as odd as I can be. I see many people. But please don't see me. I'm hiding for a reason. A reason you still notice. As I'm just a small poet As you play your music. Every day it gets harder. As you pick me from the crowd. I tried to shrink. But you always lift me up.... With a smile....
