The fallen angel, mother nature's daughter. by Miya Mallard — Analysis & Translation

Original Poem

The fallen angel, mother nature's daughter. By: Miya Mallard  ----------- It's the cow again!  Do you want to be my friend?  Nature hates me. so, will you. But if you try a thing or two Then maybe we could all be friends! Yet Mr. Crow didn't look my way. Alone in the storm, an' cold, and the rain. I want to be like Snow White.  Have nature by my side.  With the birds chirping here and there. Like mother nature.  Though, nature hates me. I can't be like you. Hold me in lies of the real truth. I want to be loved by things not my own species. Expect for babies. I want a be noticed  I want a be loved  I want a be cherished. From things above. hello Mr. birdie can we have a talk? I wanna tell you something, I know it's kind of odd. Please don't leave yet!  It's really important!  I won't waste your time! It's just this one question. Could you be my friend?  I don't want to be alone again.  I don't wanna go back home. To a empty lifeless cave. Waiting for nature to come in and stay. Though, nature hates me. As death hovers over my cave... It takes my friends away. Nature started to hate me, Cause of my cave. Please come and stay! I'll make sure you're safe. But every day. I watch them run. Run away. Watching the candle fade. Let it fade away. "Still no friends?" Like always....

Translation (English)

It's the cow again! Do you want to be my friend? Nature doesn't like me. So, neither will you. But if you give it a try Then maybe we could all be friends! Yet Mr. Crow didn't look my way. Alone in the storm, cold, and rain. I want to be like Snow White. Have nature by my side. With the birds singing everywhere. Like mother nature. Though, nature doesn't like me. I can't be like you. Hold me in comforting lies. I want to be loved by things not my own kind. Except for babies. I want to be noticed I want to be loved I want to be cherished. By things above. Hello Mr. birdie can we talk? I want to tell you something, I know it's a bit strange. Please don't leave yet! It's really important! I won't waste your time! It's just this one question. Could you be my friend? I don't want to be alone again. I don't want to go back home. To an empty, lifeless cave. Waiting for nature to come in and stay. Though, nature doesn't like me. As death lingers over my cave... It takes my friends away. Nature started to dislike me, Because of my cave. Please come and stay! I'll make sure you're safe. But every day. I watch them run. Run away. Watching the candle fade. Let it fade away. "Still no friends?" Like always....

Detailed Explanation

The poem 'The fallen angel, mother nature's daughter' by Miya Mallard explores themes of loneliness, alienation, and the desire for friendship and acceptance. The speaker feels rejected by nature and struggles with the idea that nature itself dislikes them. This feeling of being an outcast is emphasized through the repeated assertion that 'nature hates me.' The speaker longs for companionship, reaching out to animals like cows and birds, hoping to find a friend. The imagery of storms, cold, and rain underscores the speaker's isolation and emotional turmoil. The reference to Snow White, a character who is beloved by nature, highlights the speaker's yearning to be accepted and loved by the natural world. Despite these desires, the speaker feels trapped in an 'empty lifeless cave,' symbolizing their loneliness and the void in their life.
