আমার গদ্য কবিতা পছন্দ, আমার কবিতায় বেশি ছন্দ থাকে না! কেননা ছন্দের মিশ্রণে কথাগুলোকে মিথ্যা মনে হয়। যেমন অতিরিক্ত মেকাপে নারীকে সুন্দর নয় বরং ভুতের মত লাগে! তবে যে আমার কবিতায় এত রূপক? সেগুলো কি মিথ্যা নয়? সেগুলো আমি লিখি নি! আমার আত্না লিখেছে, এমন অনেক জিনিস আছে যা আমার কাছে মিথা কিন্তু আত্নার কাছে সত্য। যেমন দেখো না আমি প্রিয়ের সাথে দুদন্ড কথাও বলতে পারলাম না আর সে মহাভারত রচে ফেললো! তবুও নাকি আমার প্রশংসা মিথ্যা লাগে খ্রিষ্টান রা যেমন মাসীহের মাত্রাধিক প্রশনসা করে আমি তো তেমন করি না। ঐতিহ্যবাহী অনেক কবি প্রিয়কে খোদার জায়গায় স্থান দেয়, আমি তো তা করি নি! সবশেষে খোদার কাছে আবদার, খোদা জান্নাত না দিলে তাকে দাও আর জান্নাত দিলে তার ভেতরে তাকে দাও!
Translation (English)
I enjoy prose poetry,
My poems don't have much rhythm!
Because adding rhythm makes the words feel fake.
Like too much makeup makes a woman look like a ghost instead of pretty!
But what about the metaphors in my poems?
Aren't they fake?
I didn't write them!
My soul did,
There are many things that seem fake to me
But true to my soul.
Like I couldn't even chat a bit with my beloved
And she created the Mahabharata!
Yet my praise seems fake
Like how Christians overly praise the Messiah, I don't do that.
Many traditional poets put the beloved in God's place,
I haven't done that!
Finally, a request to God,
If God doesn't give heaven, give her
And if heaven is given, let her be inside it!
