সাময়িক বিদায়ের ক্ষণে কিছু কথা বলি কিছু অভিযোগ আর ভুলের দলাদলি। আমি আর চাই না তোমার দৃষ্টি আশীর্বাদ ভালো থেকো সুখে থেকো তুমি প্রেমনাথ! পথ দুই দিকে আলাদা বহু দূর চলে যাবো তোমার বাগিচায় ফুল ফুটবে নব নব। আমি এদিকে বিচরণ করবো অজানা ভবিষ্যতে তুমি হয় তো রাজারূপে চড়বে মহা রথে! আজ থেকে আমি লভিলাম নতুন পরিচয় আর আমার নাম তোমার প্রেমের কাঙাল নয়। আবারো হয়ত হবে দেখা কয়েক দশক পরে চোখের আড়ালে হারিয়ে যাবো মাথা নত করে। যাও তুমি যেথায় মন চায় ঘুরে বেড়াও আমার মতো মানুষের নাম-পরিচয় ভুলে যাও! ভালো থেকো সুখে আর কথা নাই ছেড়ে চলে যাও তুমি যেতে হয় তাই!
Translation (English)
At the moment of temporary farewell, I say a few words
Some complaints and a mix of mistakes.
I no longer want your gaze as a blessing
Stay well, stay happy, my love!
The paths will separate and go far apart
In your garden, new flowers will bloom.
I will wander into an unknown future
You might ride a grand chariot as a king!
From today, I have a new identity
And my name is no longer a beggar for your love.
Perhaps we will meet again after a few decades
I will disappear from sight with my head bowed.
Go where your heart desires to roam
Forget the name and identity of people like me!
Stay well, stay happy, no more words
Leave and go because you must!
